<br />The <strong><em>Lantern Festival</em></strong> is a Chinese festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar year in the Chinese calendar. The <em>Lantern Festival</em> is also known as the <em>Little New Year</em> (because it marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations) or as Chinese Valentine's Day. Based on and old Chinese tradition, flower markets, restaurants, homes and parks are filled with colourful lanterns in traditional designs. During the festival, singles play matchmakint games with the lanterns, to determine who will be their lover.
